About this role: The Marketing Strategy and Operations team at Coursera partners with all areas of the marketing organization and the enterprise sales team to drive revenue, design and execute marketing strategies, and lead internal processes to enhance productivity, leverage, and efficiency. As the Creative Operations Program Manager, you will be the primary architect of the systems and processes that power Coursera’s creative output. You will manage the complex interplay of creative demand from marketing and product stakeholders, the execution capacity of our internal creative teams, and the strategic support of our external agency partners. Your goal is to establish a best-in-class operational model that ensures high-quality, distinctive creative work is delivered on budget and on time through effective cross-functional governance and resource optimization. About your skills: Collaboration — You build trust across marketing, product, and creative teams, and know how to align competing priorities into a single shared roadmap. You'll be the connective tissue between stakeholders and the creative teams delivering their work. Systems Thinking — You see workflows end-to-end, not just in pieces. You'll design and refine the processes — from intake to final delivery — that keep creative work moving smoothly across internal teams and external agency partners. Resourcefulness — You know how to make the most of limited capacity, balancing internal bandwidth against agency support to keep projects on track without sacrificing quality or blowing the budget. Data-Driven Communication — You translate operational detail and performance metrics into clear, compelling updates — whether you're briefing a creative team or reporting up to senior leadership. What you’ll be doing: Workflow Architecture: Design, implement, and audit end-to-end creative workflows—from unified intake and brief grooming to final delivery—ensuring streamlined handoffs between marketing, product, and creative teams. Program/Project Leadership: Lead complex, cross-functional creative initiatives from intake through delivery, driving timelines, dependency management, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and launch readiness across marketing, product, and external partners. Change Management: Drive adoption of new workflows, tools, and operating models through documentation, training, and stakeholder enablement. Resource & Agency Management: Lead quarterly and weekly resource planning, balancing internal team bandwidth with a varied roster of external agencies to ensure optimal workload distribution and cost efficiency. Proactively identify capacity constraints and recommend prioritization, staffing, or agency engagement strategies to mitigate delivery risks and maintain execution quality. Stakeholder Governance: Orchestrate cross-functional interlocks and steering meetings to align marketing/product objectives with creative capabilities, effectively communicating project tradeoffs and resource availability. MarTech Optimization: Serve as the functional lead for the creative technology stack (e.g., Asana, DAM systems), integrating operational efficiencies into the ticketing and asset management processes. Performance Tracking: Establish KPI frameworks and dashboards to track creative throughput, quality, and business impact, providing regular strategic updates to senior management. Vendor Relations: Manage external agency contracts, renewals, and onboarding in partnership with Procurement and Legal, ensuring all partners adhere to Coursera’s brand and quality standards. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Creative Producer, Program Manager, or Project Manager working directly with high-volume creative teams. Demonstrated experience managing resource planning, budget mitigation, and external agency relationships within a marketing or product organization. Expert-level proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, or Airtable) and experience building automated workflows within these systems. Proven history of leading cross-functional collaboration and developing clear project roadmaps for complex, omni-channel campaigns. Objective history of establishing operational efficiencies that reduced time-to-market or production costs. Preferred Qualifications Advanced program management skills with a track record of managing competing deliverables for both B2C and B2B SaaS environments. Background in Agile methodologies or experience serving as a Scrum Master for creative sprints. Strong analytical skills to assess operational bottlenecks and develop data-driven solutions. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and translate technical requirements into creative briefs. Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) implementation and creative production software.
