As an Associate Product Designer, you will join a team that works diligently to understand and solve our customers' most challenging problems. You will learn how to be a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company that operates at the important intersection of data and AI. As part of our 2027 APD cohort, you will have a dedicated manager and mentor as well as connect with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, account teams, and leaders from across the company. The impact you will have: Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform Manage your project end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through final design prototype for engineering to implement from Work with engineers and designers to ship features on the Databricks platform Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design What we look for: You will graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a bachelors or masters degree in HCI or related design practice You have the demonstrated ability to leverage AI tooling in your design process without sacrificing craft. You use good judgement in visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture to inform your design work. You have some first hand experience with SQL and/or Python You're hands-on and learn by doing — happy to build, test, and iterate your way to an answer You use analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyzing product usage, conducting user experience research) You can make complex topics simple and communicate your design perspective to partners (engineers, customers, field) in both written and verbal form You're excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team You stay curious and keep learning, whether it's a new technology, a customer's domain, or a corner of the product you haven't touched Pay Range Transparency Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
